June sees the return of the annual Gower Folk Festival. It’s been going for 22 years so far if any proof was needed of how great it is. It takes place in the grounds and marquees at the award-winning inn, The Greyhound in Oldwalls, complete with its very own micro-brewery, just a 10 minute drive from Bryn-y-mor Cottage.
This year the 3 day event runs from Friday 10th June to Sunday 12th June and there’s something for everyone: from spoon workshops to song-writing forums, from fiddle to fantastic folk music from all over the world.
Last year we had a fabulous time listening and watching the Welsh phenomenon Calan strut their stuff and this year promises to be just as good with Kantref, The James Brothers and Lady Maisery among many more lined up.
It’s a unique event. See the whole programme in English or Welsh (Gwyn Werin Gwyr) at www.GowerFolkFestival.co.uk . Tickets can be bought on line.
Why not make a week of it and take some time out at Bryn-y-mor Cottage. Please call Ann on 01792 386259 to make your booking or email on firstname.lastname@example.org
